Advocate for senior adult by educating and helping to resolve issues that may affect their quality of life or quality of care.
Help senior adults and families understand advance directives (Living Will, Healthcare Power of Attorney documents).
Assist with Medicare Part D prescription selection process.
Assist with Medicare and Medicaid filing process and insurance claims tracking.
Referral to appropriate resources as needed such as:
- Elder law and estate planning attorneys
- Insurance and financial professionals
- Support groups (Alzheimer's, ALS, MS, Parkinson's, Diabetes)
- Federal, state, or county authorities
Offer an independent voice of reason for difficult decisions.
